Camera Equipment
We use professional digital SLR cameras and lenses. Our digital images are captured at over 14 mega pixel resolution, resulting in an amazing amount of detail and sharpness that was not available to us with film cameras. See our Sample Images page for some examples.
Sizes
We suggest that you contact us to arrange a presentation during which we can show you some product samples and the various sizes, but to give you an idea of the sizes in relation to a person we have modeled a our most common sizes:
It is important to think about where you plan to display your plaque or framed print when deciding on size. A small picture may look disappointing if hung on a large wall or somewhere where it is viewed from more than a few feet away.
Prints and Plaques
All orders are sent to a professional photo laboratory for printing and mounting. All prints are produced using LED printers that actually project the image onto traditional photographic paper. As there is no ink involved in the process the result is just like a 'real' photograph.
Our plaque mounted portraits are our top-selling product. The photographs are mounted onto wooden plaques, then laminated to give a bright, attractive and durable finish that is ready for wall display.
As well as regular prints, we also offer ready-to-frame prints that are laminated and mounted on thin board ready to frame yourself. Because they are laminated, these prints don't need a glass front to protect them and can therefore be viewed from all angles without reflection.
Digital Files
We also offer the digital files of our images, and offer a large discount when these are purchased in combination with our plaques and other enlargements. You will receive the full resolution digital file(s) in JPEG format on CD, and these can be used for anything you like. Some examples include making customized Christmas or New Year cards, letterheads, business cards, printing additional copies for relatives, uploading to your website or blog, and lots more!
